Great news (rumor) after the failed AT&T & T-Mobile merger, T-Mobile should be granted to use some of the AT&Ts spectrum to be compatible with the iPhone 3G frequency.

iPhone stand
The simplest and most portable design I found is done from a business card. (This one requires some work )

My second choices:
BatRest iPhone folding stand I found on thinkgeek is listed as a iPhone 3G compatible but after talking to the customer support I was assured it works with iPhone 4.
I will update after I test it out myself. here is the link: http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/b6f5/
There are couple more choices but the two first choices I listed are the same size as a business card and will easily fit in my compact wallet.

update: Apple Store
unfortunately it is only GSM phone with the limitations listed below.More and more sources are reporting this info about factory unlocked iPhone.
Already many countries around the world sells unlocked iPhone and the closest one is Canada. The bad news would be high price ~ 600 additionally there is no information indicating if the phone would be both GSM and CDMA as well as no indication about including 1700mhz frequency which is missing for 3G usability on the t-mobile network in the US.The good news would be for the GSM version of the phone there is no need for contract on ATT, usable as a phone around the world without the hustle of software/ hardware unlock.http://www.zdnet.com/blog/btl/unlocked-i…ag=nl.e550
